“Make it Monday” forum

For more than 65 years, the “Make it Monday” forums have provided members with educational opportunities from industry updates, municipal and government reports, to economic forecasts and new industry outlooks.

The Monday forum is much more than an educational event. It is member appreciation and recognition. More than 40 luncheons are held each year with attendance ranging from 30 to 80+ each week. In addition to new member spotlights, door prizes, updates from the non-profit sector, and reports from the Anchorage School District’s School Business Partnership, there is so much to learn at the forum. Media is often in attendance, as many presentations are newsworthy topics that affect all Alaskans.

At the Anchorage Chamber, we bring businesses together by providing events and luncheons that allow members to present to, and meet, like-minded professionals. With over 40 Monday forums each year, we look for diverse speakers with expertise in various fields to share thought-provoking business trends and topics. Get creative! AUGUST 1ST! MONDAY FORUMS ARE GOING DIGITAL

- All punch card reservations, tickets that come with membership tiers, and door prize redemptions are available for pre-registration only, and will not be accepted at the door. Walk-ins are not guaranteed entry. Pre-registration is required by 5 pm the Thursday prior.

- All purchased punch cards will be digitized and available to "punch" online during registration by selecting the Digital Punch Card Reservation option at checkout. If you have available punches, a drop-down list will appear. Select MIM Punch Card Reservation and continue with your registration.

- Door prize winners will be selected at random from the pre-registration list. Business cards will no longer be collected at the door.

Schedule & Pricing

"Make it Monday" forums are held each Monday at the Dena’ina Center* from Noon to 1 pm. Doors open at 11:30 am for lunch and networking. The program starts promptly at Noon.

*Location subject to change due to convention center availability.

Pre-registration is required by 5 pm the Thursday prior. A $2 fee will be added to all walk-in registrations, and available seating is not guaranteed.

  • General Admission + Lunch: $35 Members / $40 Non-Members
  • Table Reservation (Seats 8): $230 Members / $280 Non-Members
  • Coffee only: $13 Members / $15 Non-Members
  • Students: $15 w/ID
  • New Punch Card (10 lunches): $330 Members-Only

Run of Show

Monday forums begin at 11:30 am for a networking session, and presentations run from Noon to 1 pm. The 3-5 minute member presentations are up first, followed by the main presentation (30-40 minutes + Q&A).

Arrive Early

Parking at the Dena'ina Center can take time to coordinate. Leave work a few minutes early to find a good parking spot.

Attire/ Etiquette

Dress attire for the Monday forum is business casual. Please, no outside food or drink inside the Monday forum. Please silence your cell phones.
