The Anchorage Chamber office receives thousands of inquiries per month regarding local companies from both residents and people who are planning to relocate to Anchorage. The Anchorage Chamber only refers member businesses to callers. Whether your business falls under tourism, construction, real estate, legal and accounting, or retail, customers call and ask the Anchorage Chamber first.

Recognition of new and renewing members in the News & Views Newsletter

All new and renewing members are listed monthly in the Anchorage Chamber newsletter. This is great free publicity for your business among other Anchorage Chamber members. Members keep track of who is and isn't a member so they know who to do business with.

Membership plaque and decal
COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT, EXPOSURE & PUBLICITY
Let everyone know you're a member and prominently display your Anchorage Chamber Membership plaque and decal. All new members receive a plaque when they join the Anchorage Chamber of Commerce. The plaques are hand-delivered by volunteer Anchorage Chamber Ambassadors. Members receive a new decal every year upon renewal.

Listing in membership directory

The Anchorage Chamber of Commerce produces an annual membership directory and supplement, containing an alphabetical and categorical list of Anchorage Chamber member businesses, including contact information. The directories are distributed to the entire membership and are purchased on a regular basis by both local residents and individuals wishing to relocate. All members are listed in these publications and have an opportunity to purchase additional ad space.

Listing with map and link from Web site

The Anchorage Chamber Web site gets on average more than 200,000 hits per month.  Anchorage Chamber member businesses and their contact information are automatically listed in the Anchorage Chamber's Web membership directory when they become members. Members with Web sites have a free link to their site from the Anchorage Chamber's, and a MapQuest Link, giving users detailed directions to your business.

Newsletter Inserts

Each month the Anchorage Chamber newsletter, "News & Views" contains inserts from different Anchorage Chamber member companies. The newsletter is distributed to the owners and managers of more than 1200 businesses in Anchorage and is seen by thousands of employees. Take advantage of this opportunity! If you have a deal to offer Anchorage Chamber members or an event to publicize, for only $125 and 1500 copies of your insert, you can do just that. Companies must sign up for inserts by the 15th of each month for publication in the following month's newsletter. Member Spotlight
EXPOSURE & PUBLICITY
Every Anchorage Chamber business can be spotlighted in the newsletter at their request. Simply submit an article to the newsletter highlighting who you are, what you do, and why people should use your business. The article should include information that is timely and interesting to members in business.  Spotlights are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Member Events Calendar

Companies can post their upcoming programs and events on the Anchorage Chamber Web Member calendar for only $50 per event ($100 for non-Anchorage Chamber members). Take the hassle out of reservations and receive pre-paid e-mail reservations directly to your company. You can recognize your event sponsors as part of this opportunity. Chamberline

All members have access to Chamberline, a compilation of member news and events published in the monthly newsletter, "News & Views." If your business is holding an event, has recently won an award, or has hired a new staff person, remember to submit this information into Chamberline. This section is only available to members. Submit your news releases to the Anchorage Chamber (e-mail is the preferred format) before the 15th of the month for publication in the following month's newsletter. Member Mailing Lists and Labels

Anchorage Chamber mailing lists on disk or mailing labels for mass mailings to Anchorage Chamber members can be purchased from the Anchorage Chamber of Commerce office. The list can be purchased in the form of labels at the cost of $100 for members and $200 for non-members. It can be purchased in electronic format at a cost of $300 for members and $600 for non-members. Advertise on Chamber map
EXPOSURE & PUBLICITY
The Anchorage Chamber sells thousands of city maps to people coming to Alaska, as well as to businesses and organizations located here. Members can buy advertising space on the map and may purchase the maps themselves at special rates. Maps are re-printed on a biennial schedule. The Anchorage Chamber of Commerce distributes packets of information about Anchorage to people who are interested in relocating to the area. Info is inserted on a space available space. Insert your company brochure and information into these relocation packets and have it distributed throughout the country free of charge. Grand Openings and Ribbon Cuttings

If you have a new, recently remodeled, or relocated business and are looking for a big way to announce it, hold a grand opening or ribbon cutting for your business and invite the Anchorage Chamber Ambassadors to help you. The volunteer Ambassadors can help make your event a success. Let them help you bring prospective customers into your new or upgraded business. Call at least six weeks before your opening to give the Ambassadors adequate time for preparation and publicity. Use the Anchorage Chamber logo

Anchorage Chamber members are encouraged to use the Chamber logo in their advertising, on their business cards, or in company literature. The Anchorage Chamber logo must be used with the tag line "Member, Anchorage Chamber of Commerce" and a proof must be presented to the Anchorage Chamber for written approval. Certificate of Origin Validation

The Anchorage Chamber is not responsible for collecting your information and bringing it to the event. New Member at the head table

New Anchorage Chamber members, who have been members for less than six months, have the opportunity to sit at the head table during a "Make It Monday" Forum with the Anchorage Chamber Chair and the day's speaker.  The new member will be recognized as such including a short biography about the member business. Greeters

Acting as a greeter at the Monday Forum is an opportunity for free publicity. Member companies have the opportunity to greet guests and hand out company literature and business cards to people as they enter the forum.. Greeters also have the opportunity to put information about their business on the luncheon tables and have a representative address luncheon attendees for two minutes about their business or an event in production.
