of Commerce represents nearly 1200 companies and
50,000 member employees. The following information is
based on data collected in March 2001.
The Anchorage Chamber’s
membership is comprised of 42 percent small business
(employing fewer than 10 employees). Only 10 percent
of Anchorage Chamber members employ more than 50 employees.

In addition,
31 percent of membership dues come from members with 10
or fewer employees, and 31 percent of dues come from
members with 50 or more employees.
