2011 Anchorage Chamber Citywide Cleanup Week
Anyone can participate in the Anchorage Chamber of Commerce's Citywide Cleanup Week, where residents of Anchorage, Girdwood and Eagle River/ Chugiak are encouraged to get out and rid the city's roads and neighborhoods of trash.

In 2010, more than 3.6 million pounds, that's 1,800 tons, of trash was collected and delivered to Anchorage transfer stations. Well done, Anchorage!
