Those who encourage the potential of all women as valued members and leaders of the business community were celebrated at the 16th annual Anchorage ATHENA Society luncheon, held on Monday, April 5, 2010 at the Dena'ina Center. 2010's theme was 'Alaska Forward.'
This event drew nearly 700 people who honored 14 new members inducted into the Anchorage ATHENA Society, celebrate Heather Flynn, the annual ATHENA Award recipient, and featured a panel of inspiring local speakers, including Justice Dana Fabe and Shauna Hegna from Afognak Native Corporation.

The Anchorage ATHENA Society annual luncheon is an opportunity to induct new Anchorage ATHENA Society members and to recognize those who have inspired other women to achieve their full potential. One Anchorage ATHENA Society member is also honored for consistently embracing the tenets of the ATHENA Leadership model: Authentic Self, Celebration and Joy, Collaboration, Courageous Acts, Fierce Advocacy, Giving Back, Learning and Relationships.
