On May 7, businesses and volunteers rallied together after cleaning Anchorage's streets parks and neighborhoods to celebrate at the Anchorage Chamber Clean Sweep Celebration at the Delaney Park Strip memorial block in Anchorage.

This FREE community celebration saw hundreds of Anchorage residents enjoying stage entertainment, games and events, launching into the final weekend of the 2009 Anchorage Chamber Citywide Cleanup week. Activities included:

• Trash Triathlon - Fun and athletic games for adults that include the Trash Pass and Dash, Trash Tug and the Recycle Relay.  Teams of six must register in advance to compete, limited to the first 18 teams.  The winning team will win the 2009 Trash Triathlon Trophy, a fishing trip for 12 and other fun prizes.
• Super Sweeper Races: Fun and athletic games for young adults and kids of all ages.  No pre-registraion is required, just come join the fun.  Participants will get the chance to earn their Cleanup Hero cape and mask while playing.
• Entertainment-including puppeteers and marionettes, performers on the main stage, activity booths, "Clean Dream" art wall.
• Tons of Fun-A selection of air-inflated bouncy toys for kids of all ages to join.
• Treats-Free ice cream sundaes for the first 500 to arrive. Complimentary beverages will be available for everyone to enjoy.
• Door prizes-Thanks to the generosity of the Dimond Center Mall, one lucky Cleanup Hero will walk away from the Clean Sweep Celebration with a $500 shopping spree!
