
Anchorage ATHENA Society
The Anchorage ATHENA Society is a program of the Anchorage Chamber of Commerce and a local chapter of an international organization dedicated to encouraging the potential of women as valued members and leaders of the business community through several means, including:
-- Recognizing new members,existing society members and one ATHENA Award Recipient during its annual luncheon
-- Sending high school-aged young women to Camp $tart-up
-- Mentoring women owned businesses through PowerLink
As of 2010, the Anchorage ATHENA Society is comprised of 230 local business professionals. Out of these members, 15 have received the annual ATHENA Award.

The Anchorage Chamber invites all Anchorage ATHENA Society members to attend the Anchorage ATHENA Society Annual Reception, held at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 24 at the Wells Fargo board room at 301 W. Northern Lights Blvd. This is a free event and will feature presentations from this year's Camp $tart-Up and PowerLink committees, as well as networking, food and drinks. RSVP before Aug. 20.
